So what is this, anyhow?

So with any luck (on my part, anyhow), at least one of you is wondering what this and Springless Clock is all about. Weird name, weirder logo, and no real explanation as to the actual intent of all this, yet. Well, lets talk about it =)

What's it all about

So the entire intent of this is to display creative endeavors made by myself and others whom I let on board.

"Creative endeavors?"

In this case, meaning such things as pixel art, stories, video games, web comics, poetry, and music.

Well that's all fine and good, but isn't that what places like newgrounds or deviantart are for?

Yup, and I use them both. However, this is more of a specialized area, featuring my art and the art of a few of my friends or others for who I am willing to put the time down to host, so I guess you could say that this is more "quality controlled", though in all actuality it's most accurately described as "jiko only has so many hours in a day, so he can only really manage a select number of people."

Are you ever going to expand that horizon to be more public access?

Well, I guess it depends on how this goes. I'm definitely not object to the notion of the larger hosting sites, but for now, at least, I like the idea of a comfy little area where I can host and collect some cool stuff, which I can turn around and offer to you guys for free.

Oop... money just came up *panic*

No worries, this won't ever cost anybody but me any money, and I work and go to school full time to ensure that. So this is all at my own expense and loss of hair =). Don't get me wrong, when this is up and running I won't turn down donations, but by no means will they ever be obligatory. This site is here because I can currently afford to do it, it gets me some good practice at web design and programming, and because I think it might get you some smiles.

So... what do you want from *me*, then?

Short story? Nothing too out of your way. Long story: Come back. Keep an eye on this place, and especially if you like old school video games, because I've got some ideas that might just perk your interest. Now now, no spoilers, but to put it simply, I want to bring the "game" back to video games. Watching the "video" part is fine and good, but you might as well just rent a dvd. So I want to bring you a good story, solid gameplay, and characters you'll never forget, at no cost to you. The problem? It takes time, and it can be hard without encouragement. Not so much "you can do it" as much as input for what you want to see. Frankly, I'm a notorious loner who tries to do everything himself, but if I can think of some jobs for interested folks to do, then I might just start recruiting, but until that point I'm pretty much trying to learn as much as I can that will help me, as fast as I can. So in the meantime, I'm kicking this website off *well* before I'm done with much of anything, in the hopes that, by the time I'm ready, there will be enough of you to make it all worthwhile. So stick with me, I don't ask for much other than a watchful eye on your part =)
